It's been quite some time since surfing has been used in anything with a commercial angle that felt...well, genuine. Everytime I see surfing in a feature film, (think..'North Shore') or a television show (think "John from Cincinnati") it always falls flat.

Dewey Weber Longboard Classic to Draw Competitors from Around US and the World

A fun filled three-day weekend celebrating Dewey Weber's legacy and showcasing the future of longboarding is scheduled to take place September 28 - 30th at Doheny State Park.

This years event will be dedicated to Shu Oikawa, who passed away earlier this year from cancer. Shu was a longtime Weber team rider and a really great friend. Contest at Boneyards, Doheny State Park, is a Favorite Spanning Many Generations

Noll Longboard Classic coming to California

This year's Noll Longboard Classic encourages surfers of all shapes, sizes and abilties to shred in Northern California. When is the event this year? September 29th & 30th 2007. Is there an age limit? No, There is a division for every age. How long must by surfboard be? 9 feet or longer. Can I still surf if I am just a beginner? Yes! Everyone else does. :)

How do I enter? If you were a contestant in previous years, an entry form will be sent to your last known address.
